Year One Digital Journalist Daniella Semple has been drawing on the ups and downs of life in lockdown to develop her skills and ambitions as a blogger. During these testing times for everyone, Daniella has focused on creating her own personal platform, where she can retreat to share her thoughts and feelings on anything from dealing with criticism, to learning sign language, to her experiences as a 3rd degree black belt and tutor in Taekwondo. Members of the local community came together at the weekend in a show of solidarity for #Blacklivesmatter. Through a demonstration of socially distanced speech, music and reflection, the rally raised crucial awareness for the power of peaceful protest.
