Year One Digital Journalist Willow Stening has created a helpful cooking series for everyone in quarantine. Willow’s videos are designed to help those who may be getting bored with the same old meals every week. Check out the videos in this post for tips on how to make easy meals for at home and also some whacky meals to make cooking fun!

Year One Digital Journalist Daniella Semple has been drawing on the ups and downs of life in lockdown to develop her skills and ambitions as a blogger. During these testing times for everyone, Daniella has focused on creating her own personal platform, where she can retreat to share her thoughts and feelings on anything from dealing with criticism, to learning sign language, to her experiences as a 3rd degree black belt and tutor in Taekwondo. Check out the link in the post to read more of Daniella’s thoughts and how she’s been keeping herself motivated over these past 12 weeks.

Members of the local community came together at the weekend in a show of solidarity for #Blacklivesmatter. Through a demonstration of socially distanced speech, music and reflection, the rally raised crucial awareness for the power of peaceful protest.
